Happy Day, Sad Day

I had 3 injections today - the one birthday present I really wasn’t looking forward to. Last time I was very brave, but this time was much more difficult. Perhaps I have inherited by dad’s opinion of needles. I cried a bit, but felt better pretty quickly. Luckily there were lots of other cute kids around to play with, and we had great fun cheering each other up.

After that my dad took me for a fabulous treat. We visited the toy library in Elwood, and I had a huge play with lots of the fun toys. We came home with a few too: a big dump truck, and a glockenspiel shaped like a puppy. I spent all the afternoon playing with these great toys, as well as all the great toys and stuff that people gave me for my birthday. I also dressed up in the ski suit my auntie Mel got for me and had a big run around outside - quite literally - since I am walking more and more confidently each day.

It was also a very sad day for us. Today was the funeral of my great Nanna MacKay, my mum’s much loved nanna. She was a lovely lady who sent me many presents including my pretty pink beanie.
