Farmer's Market

We went down to the St Kilda Farmer’s Market this morning. It was so much fun! There were lots of dogs and babies and balls to play with, and we came home with lots of yummy food.

Family fun day

August 11th, 2006 by Annalena

I had a lot of fun with my family today.

This morning dad dropped me off at Nanna Luba’s place and I spent all morning with her and Asher. We played at home for a while; we watched some Teletubbies; we went for a walk; I crashed a gymbaroo class and had lots of fun there; we visited the library; we played in the park; then we went back to Nanna’s place and my mum and dad arrived soon after to take me home for a sleep.

Then this afternoon we went to Grandpa and Bianca’s place for dinner. I played with the black meow meows and with my cousins Hannah, Leah and Ruby. We had a very yummy dinner and then we came home to bath and bed.

Where the Wild Things Are

August 15th, 2006 by Annalena

We went to see the Where the Wild Things Are exhibition today at the Jewish Museum. It was absolutely fabulous. There were so many things to do and great stuff to play with, and there was even a big slide into a pot of noodle soup!

Luca comes to visit

August 17th, 2006 by Annalena

Luca and her mum Jill came to visit from Tasmania, and they stayed the night last night. Luca also came with her cousin Claudia, and we all had a fantastic play with all my toys and dolls and animals. We had such a good time and I stayed up really late, way beyond my normal bed time.

In the morning I got up early and couldn’t wait to start playing with Luca. We had a great time in the tunnel tubes that I got from the toy library.

Hands on

This afternoon we all went to the Melbourne Museum. There is a great children’s gallery at the Museum, and Luca and I had a fun time exploring the exhibits. We also saw (another) awesome giant squid, as well as a fascinating exhibition on human reproduction with some great life-size nude pictures and sculptures (I loved the baby sculpture).

Snotty

Big Kiss

At home we’ve all been swapping a nasty cold between each other for the past couple of weeks. I’ve been very snotty, and a bit cranky, but still having heaps of fun - dancing, swimming, playing at the park, and riding in the backpack. In this (very ugly) photo I’m giving my dad a snotty kiss through a window.

This morning I went to visit Nanna Luba. I love it when she dresses me in the tutu and we do the dance with Tinky Winky from Teletubbies.

Tonight I had a fun bubble bath with my dad. As you can see here, I really love my bath time!

Snow Adventures

First play in the snow

We’ve just had a fabulous three days in the snow up at Mt Buller with lots of my cousins and other relatives and friends. The weather was spectacular, and the mountains very beautiful.

My first experience in the snow wasn’t actually that great: it was cold, wet and slippery, and then young Harry threw a snowball at me. But I got over it quickly and have had lots of fun since.

Yesterday I went up to watch all the kids in the ski school, and I had a good laugh at my dad trying to snowboard for the first time. Today we went right up near the top of the mountain, riding up on the high chairlifts. We wandered across the snow to Kofler’s restaurant, just below the summit, and had a snack and a bit of a sun bake. I had a great play in the snow and Hannah helped me make snow balls.
