Burnie

October 8th, 2006 by Annalena

We’ve just come back from a fabulous time seeing relatives and having fun in Tasmania. It was my first trip to Burnie, the town my mum grew up in. We stayed with Nanna Sandra, which was totally cosy and comforting. Even her bath was fun, though a little unorthodox.

On Friday we went to the Burnie Show and I saw lots of cute and fluffy animals. I found the rides a bit scary though, much preferring the playground at Upper Burnie Primary.

On Saturday we went over to uncle Heath’s place, and had a nice lunch with Heath and Steph. Heath gave me a drawing lesson and I checked out his magnificent CD collection.

On Saturday we also went with poppy Kerry to visit my great-grandad (I really am lucky to have so many great-grandparents). Then today (Sunday) we went for lunch at poppy Kerry and Vicki’s place. Heath and Steph were also there. Poppy made some yummy food on the barbecue, especially the tiny barbecued button mushrooms.
