Review: I (Heart) Huckabees

Friday, April 29th, 2005

I had a difficult time finding a review of I (Heart) Huckabees that I agreed with. In the end I opted for this review , which sums up many of my thoughts about the film, though it perhaps is a bit more glowing about it than I would be. This is mainly because I thought […]

Rough notes on Dave Snowdens talk

Tuesday, April 26th, 2005

These are the VERY rough notes I took at Dave Snowden’s talk last Friday. I’m putting them here more for my record than as someting that may interest other people. When I get a bit of time soon I’ll write some more detailed reflections on what Snowden said. Overall I was surprisingly impressed with Snowden, […]

My friends in the media

Rob Sparrow has been quoted in today’s Age Green Guide, in an article on how technology bites back (it was also in the SMH last week). What Rob says here may be of some relevance to those of us in […]

Google features

Tuesday, April 12th, 2005

Courtesy of Bleeding Edge, it is definitely worth keeping up with the ever growing number of excellent google features.
The Book Search feature looks like it could become an invaluable research tool, and the Movies feature looks like it will be particularly useful for my future plagiarised film reviews.

Journal Club: Social Networks

Tuesday, April 12th, 2005

Today we looked at ‘A Practical Guide to Social Networks’ By: Cross, Rob; Liedtka, Jeanne; Weiss, Leigh. Harvard Business Review, Mar2005, Vol. 83 Issue 3.
